This student thesis was compiled by four students of the Newcastle University College’s School of Architecture in November 1955. You may recognise Les Reedman, as the author of two other works that have been digitised as well, his Menkens thesis (1956) and Early Architects of the Hunter Region (2008).

The work contains watercolour illustrations, plans and phototgraphs taken in and around Wallsend and Plattsburg, documenting the build heritage that existed up until 1955.
