Lake Macquarie Surveys 1829

Dr Jim Wafer recently came across some material held by State Archive and Records New South Wales (SARA) consisting of three survey maps of sections of Lake Macquarie, drawn by surveyor J. Ralfe in 1829. One of the maps includes Reverend Lancelot Threlkeld’s farm. They appear to have been digitised from microfilm copies. We have created rotated versions of the 3663 map to aid viewing of details. Click on each of the images to access the larger versions.
