Victoria Theatre Flythrough 2018 (Silent Version)

The creators of the beautiful 3D reconstruction of the 1891 Victoria Theatre, have released a flythrough of their work as it nears completion.

Victoria Theatre 3D Reconstruction Flythrough 2018 was created by Gaute Rasmussen and Vendela Pento (IT Innovation Team) in collaboration with Gionni Di Gravio, Archivist Hunter Living Histories, GLAMx Cultural Collections, Auchmuty Library.

The project was initially adopted to support the research work of Dr Gillian Arrighi, Convenor, Creative and Performing Arts, in the University of Newcastle’s School of Creative Industries, who along with Stephanie Holm have been funded by the ARC, through the LIEF scheme, under the aegis of the AusStage Phase 6 Visualising Venues in Australian Live Performance project (LE170100003), a national project involving 12 universities, administered by Finders University.

Century Venues, the owners of the building are delighted with the work, and have organised a public launch at the Victoria Theatre 12 Perkins Street, Newcastle for Tuesday 13th November 2018 from 6-8PM.
