Mapping place and (co)use of public spaces in Newcastle by diverse groups for social organising and cohesion
Calling all members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Newcastle! Researchers at the University of Newcastle are looking for people aged 18+ to share their experiences of engaging with public spaces in Newcastle. Our research aims to explore how public spaces can be actively used by diverse groups to create a sense of inclusion, social organisation, and identity expression. By sharing your experiences, as well as any photos or images of LGBTQIA+ Newcastle spaces you are willing to share, you’ll be helping us understand the impact of social and cultural shifts on the creation, development, and maintenance of scene spaces. We are looking to talk to people about their views and experiences either in person, or online.
