It is with great sadness to hear of the recent pas It is with great sadness to hear of the recent passing of Ted Flowers, the inaugural University Librarian. In 1961, Ted became Librarian, Newcastle University College and University Librarian on autonomy in 1965. He made a huge contribution to the library and library profession. Condolences to his family and friends.

These hand painted porcelain and ceramic shards (m These hand painted porcelain and ceramic shards (most likely mid-19th century) were found during an archaeological dig at the former Palais site in 2009, and have been 3D scanned. Their texture, colour and design contain larger stories.
