For over eight years, Stories of Our Town has been uncovering Newcastle’s history, one extraordinary tale at a time. Along the way, they collected dozens of stories so outrageous, so delightfully strange, that they couldn’t fit anywhere else. Now, for one night only, they’ve been brought together in one wildly entertaining world premiere short film with accompanying live acts.

The world premiere of this new Stories of Our Town short film, will be followed by a star-studded musical performance featuring live cabaret and music from master of funny-sad, Sandman aka Steve Abbott (Castanet Club, Triple J); cabaret genius Christa Hughes (Machine Gun Fellatio, Circus Oz); the absurd DJ Maynard (Castanet Club, Triple J); the omnipresent Pucko (The Maddest of them all) and hosted by the brilliant Chit Chat (Stories of our Town and Machine Gun Fellatio).
The Storytellers
Stories of Our Town brings together some of the best storytellers in Newcastle for the Bizarre Newcastle film. Thank you to all at the Newcastle Museum for opening up your house after hours for the filming for the back to back interviews.
