This and the following photos are drawn from a Sydney Mail article, dated 15 February 1902.  This was a feature article that profiled the Ravensworth homestead, entitled ‘An Historic Hunter Property’. The original photographic caption reads: ‘Ravensworth Homestead, said to be the Oldest House on the Hunter. The Walls are of solid masonry, 3ft. thick. with apertures for rifle fire’.
