George Wyndham’s Dalwood Cricket Team in the 1860s. Five of his sons, Alexander, Charles, Guy, Reginald and Wadham played in the team.
George played for Harrow in the first regular Eton vs Eton match in 1818, which is now the oldest regular match still played at Lords.
George and his friend, Charles Oxenden, went up to Cambridge where they founded the Cambridge University Cricket Club.
He played in the First XI in 1820 and 1821 as a bowler. Oxenden captained the team.
